Today would have been Theodore Seuss Geisel's 108th birthday, and March 2nd was adopted as National Read Across America Day because of this. Under pseudonyms - including his most popular, Dr. Seuss - Geisel published over 45 children's books which are still widely read today. Geisel also worked as an illustrator for ad campaigns and a political cartoonist. But he is best known for works as the award-winning Dr. Seuss, such as The Cat in the Hat, Go Dog Go, and Horton Hears a Who. Many of Dr. Seuss' works have been adapted into other forms, including musicals, movies, and TV series and specials.
