This is what's called "drawing the eye." If you notice, the placement (composition) of the dinosaur, the Hulk, and the cat create a circular motion which directs your eye to Ka-zar in the center. The colors are largely variations of greens, except for the creatures which provide a bright contrast that makes the cover "pop."
