Kimberly Peirce to Direct New Carrie?

Director Kimberly Peirce is in talks with MGM to direct a new adaptation of Stephen King's first published novel, Carrie. Carrie was a successful Brian De Palma movie in 1976. IMdB lists the latest adaptation as "In Production." Peirce directed Boys Don't Cry and the new Carrie screenplay is said to be more faithful to the original Stephen King novel.
