Chinese Democracy Leads to Free Drinks

Guns n Roses first album in over 15 years finally hit markets this week (though it has been on their MySpace page for a week longer), though many of the tracks had made their way into the public in various ways prior to this. One is featured in the video game, Rock Band 2, while a blogger is facing criminal charges for leaking nine of the tracks on his site.

But if you head over to Dr. Pepper's site, you can sign-up to receive a coupon for a free drink. Dr. Pepper said they would give away free drinks if Guns n Roses released an album this year, and so they are. But hurry! A clock on the site is counting down and you only have about 10 hours left.

The album has been banned in China (big surprise), but is ironically also a thorn in some Chinese fans' sides, as well.

The Vulture is reporting problems with Dr. Pepper's website. According to the article, the deadline was extended and a toll-free number was added as another option, but people were still reporting issues.

Originally, DP said you would download a coupon, but it was actually a form for a mailed coupon which is said to arrive in 4-6 weeks.
