Heroes on Larry King, Spidey Hits Broadway with U2, and Much, Much More!

The entire cast of Heroes will appear on Larry King Live Friday night at 9/8:00 PM, CST on CNN. As one reporter noted, it's doubtful King has seen even one episode of the show, so there's no telling how this is going to go.

SuperheroHype.Com has a new round of Dark Knight movie set pics, as well as a report on the fire on set that happened recently. Not for nothing, don't forget that this is the same site that reported the Joker pics which later turned out to be fakes, so take whatever you get from this with a grain of salt.

Yes, the rumors are true: there really is a Spider-Man musical in the works. Ready for the big scoop? U2 is writing the music! A few musicals have been based on comic book heroes, though none have met with much success. The Superman musical had a fair run, but certainly not record-breaking, and even managed to get a TV version on the air with one Leslie Ann Warren (Clue, Will & Grace). Some of the older cats amongst us will remember the spots in the 1980s' comics about auditions for a Captain America musical, but it apparently never got off the ground.

Rumors are swirling about Jake Gyllenhaal auditioning for the roles of both Captain America and Speed Racer. This piece also mentions him possibly taking over the Spider-Man mantle after Maguire leaves, but this was written before both Dunst and Maguire said they would consider a fourth installment.

Legendary artist, Bill Sienkiewicz will be the artist on one of the new 30 Days of Night mini-series, scheduled to debut this fall! Sienkiewicz is probably best-known for his groundbreaking work on Marvel's Moon Knight and New Mutants. His seminal accomplishment (so far) came when he teamed with Frank Miller for the historic 8-issue Elektra: Assassin in 1986 (a watershed year for all pop-culture: Slayer's Reign in Blood, Beastie Boys' License to Ill, Miller's Dark Knight Returns, Moore's Watchmen, and much more were released that year). Can't wait for this! I also have an entry to post about the upcoming film later today or tomorrow.
