Tony Moore Sues Robert Kirkman Over Walking Dead
Walking Dead artist Terry Moore is suing writer Robert Kirkman for payments he says never materialized after relinquishing his rights to the project in 2005. According to Kirkman, he and Moore reached a mutual agreement seven years ago and the artist was paid at that time, but Moore says otherwise and is taking Kirkman to court over the matter.
The two have known one another since they were in the seventh-grade and have collaborated on other projects, including 2000's Battle Pope. Moore was the original artist on Walking Dead and contributed several more covers to the series, as well. The Walking Dead is currently the highest-rated show on basic cable. The TV series remains true to the original story, but does not stick to it religiously.

The collections of THE WALKING DEAD occupied more than half of the top 25 slots in Diamond Comics’ list of top-selling graphic novels of 2011. The debut of Image Comics’ best-selling title on iBooks is part of the publisher’s overall commitment to releasing their creator-owned properties in a variety of media. Besides being sold in retail stores, individual issues of Image comics are available on multiple electronic platforms.
The publisher expects to release more titles on iBooks in the coming weeks, beginning with John Layman and Rob Guillory’s Eisner-winning, New York Times bestselling series, Chew.

AMC Streaming the First Ep of Walking Dead for FREE!
Yep, AMC is streaming the premiere episode of the first season of Walking Dead (based on Robert Kirkman's comic book title of the same name from Image), in case you missed it or just want to watch it again.
I cut the cord over a year ago now and was certain I wouldn't be able to see it, because AMC doesn't do the Hulu thing (yet), but since the 85 senators who were for net neutrality were voted out of office (shocker! -- the media runs everything, really?), I'm sure I can pay an extra $50+ per month to get pay TV online in just a few, short months.
Ah, commercialism. Just can't beat it, can you?
