The Owen Wilson story keeps getting... more confusing.
Police reports confirm that they responded to a call from the home of the actor concerning an "attempted suicide" and took one person out of the home and to the hospital. As reported before, Wilson's family was seen at Cedars-Sinai Saturday night.
Yesterday, Wilson released a statement to the media, asking to be allowed to heal in private. Now, he has dropped out of the new Ben Stiller movie he was supposed to start shooting in Hawaii in a few weeks.
While reports and the police are sketchy - indicating only that "a person" was removed from the home and transported to medical facilities - Wilson's statement, hospitalization, and decision to drop out of the new film seem to paint a pretty clear picture of his attempted suicide. Initial reports also indicated that he had been taking a lot of pills of some kind.
We wish Owen and the Wilson family, along with all of their friends, the best in this time and hope everything works out.
We will refrain from poking fun at such a serious matter, but we have to wonder if this is just a big ruse to get a nose job done without a bunch of press.

New reports indicate that Owen Wilson was addicted to both heroin and cocaine and this is what led to his downward spiral. This has not been confirmed.
