New South Park Deal Cements Matt & Trey's Authorita

I've been trying to get to this story for two days now and kept forgetting and getting sidetracked by press releases!

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have signed a new deal with Viacom worth a reputed $75 million - did I st-st-st-stutter? The deal will ensure that South Park runs for at least another four years, as well as spread the show across new mediums, including cell phones, video games, and the internet. Of course, South Park rose to success on the internet, when the pair made a short that became wildly popular (one of the first truly "viral" videos of the media).

The deal will center on SouthParkStudios.com, which will also feature the pair's new animated projects. South Park has been Comedy Central's biggest hit since 1997, with new episodes drawing about 3 million viewers.
