Man, talk about uneven! How much does it suck that this is the season finale for this year? Right when it all seems to make just enough sense that we can actually follow a storyline - just the one, even the one is nice enough - and it's all over. At least they haven't jumped the shark; I guess it just wouldn't be Heroes if the audience were let in on what's happening.
I really loved the fight scenes. For a TV show about superheroes, Heroes has a dearth of fight scenes, but the big showdown they had tonight was worth the wait... if the wait were only like 3-4 episodes instead of an even dozen. Still though, not too shabby.
So I hate to be picky - no, I really don't, I've been let down by this show so many times that I don't really mind picking on it at this point - but even though I see where they're going by making Peter and Sylar basically the most powerful Heroes, we saw this last season. It's interesting and it still has a lot more mileage, but there are at least a few thousand other scenarios we could investigate.
I do want to mention - once again - how upset it makes me for NBC to continually push their online content when we viewers are getting cut out of the rest of the season because of the WGA strike. But since when have corporations given the consumers what they want?
So, here's to the hope for a next season of Heroes - and that something will actually happen prior to the 12th episode... and that we'll know what that is when it does.
Oh, and of course I had to mention of Heroes, Volume 2: great ending!
