New reports suggest Britney Spears may finally be getting the help she needs... or she's thinking about it.
Spears' manager, Sam Lutfi, apparently contacted The View's Barbara Walters, telling her that little Miss Brit-Brit is suffering from "mental issues which are treatable" and that she has seen a psychiatrist. Walters then said "she, I assume, is starting some kind of treatment."
Such issues include mood swings and trouble sleeping, according to Walters who spoke on behalf of the Spears' clan by way of Lutfi. Um, yeah. Mood swings, insomnia... complete and frequent psychotic breaks resulting in such behavior as locking herself in a bathroom with her child, leaving her car to be towed from the road because of a flat tire, flashing her little Spears all over the world, shaving her head bald... come on.
Britney is also speaking with her mother who is said to have been "instrumental" in helping the former star take the first steps toward treatment. Lynne Spears arrived in LA Sunday and was photographed talking to someone on a cellphone.
Britney Spears allegedly spent an hour at a psychiatrist's office Friday. While no one is certain, it appears she is no longer seeing Adnan Ghalib. Ghalib, a paparazzo, sold his "story" to celebrity tabloid, Entertainment Tonight (or one of them), last week.
