This one may have slipped under the radar at Comic-Con - at least for me. I probably reported something on it, but like a lot of things, there was but a sliver of information so it only got mentioned.
But Jeff Bridges is very excited about the new Tron remake. In particular, he is going on and on about the new motion-capture technology. He says he believes the remake will be as good as the remake of King Kong. While King Kong did not exactly light-up the box office, it is true the special effects trumped those of the 1970's remake (in which Bridges starred)... which, when you think about it, would be sad were it not the case!
"Well, when we made Tron, there was no internet, no cellphones. But now we have motion capture, so I think we'll get a far more successful version of the story, which is someone literally getting sucked into a video game." Bridges told The Gawker.
