Nicolas Cage woke to find a naked man wearing the actor's leather jacket standing in his kitchen. Instead of flipping-out and having the guy hit with every charge under the sun, Cage calmly walked the man outside and called security. It turns out the man was in a drug-induced "daze" brought on by sleeping pills and pain medications.
The man was visiting relatives who live in Cage's gated community and Cage's door was open. He was not charged with breaking and entering, but was ordered to undergo drug rehabilitation and stay away from Cage and his family and will then be on probation for three years. If all conditions are met, the man's felony charge may be dropped to a misdemeanor. The intruder did have a prior conviction. The man's attorney lauded Nicolas Cage for "recognizing the frailty" of his client.
Cage is the star of the current #1 box office movie in America, National Treasure: Book of Secrets.
