Kinda crazy to think about, isn't it? Yes, that too cute kid who was forced to spend Christmas alone (not counting the nefarious burglars who hounded him) turned the big Three-Oh yesterday, August 26th. Culkin made his screen debut 20 years ago (1990) in John Hughes' Christmas classic, Home Alone. He was the first child actor in history to be paid $1 million.Culkin starred in several Home Alone sequels before trouble arose with his parents, whom Culkin says stole his money. He disappeared from acting for some time, only to re-emerge in a string of risky roles, including the portrayal of a paraplegic in Saved!, and ClubKid Michael Alig in Party Monster.
