'Tards Protest Stiller Flick

Retarded people are protesting the release of Ben Stiller's new comedy film, Tropic Thunder. They say it is demeaning to 'tards everywhere people with "mental disabilities."

This is not a joke post.

Apparently, the word "retard" is used in the film to describe Stiller's character, an actor on location who is taken hostage and does not realize it. Protesters, including Tim Shriver (an organizer with the Special Olympics), stood outside the Mann Theater at the movie's premiere with signs. He called the characterization "hateful."

Dreamworks said "no changes or cuts to the film will be made," though noted there was never any intention to disparage or demean anyone.

Upon hearing news of the protest, Tom Cruise - who appears in the film - cackled and flew away.
