On January 23rd, Dark Knight returns to movie theaters. Only $77 million shy of becoming the all-time highest-grossing film, executives are hoping this "farewell" screening will help push it over the line. Some say they are also hoping the re-release cements Dark Knight as one of the Best Picture nominations at the Oscars.
At this time, Dark Knight will be the highest-grossing movie of 2008 and remains the second highest-grossing movie of all time. It's pretty much guaranteed to break $1 billion, worldwide.
