Superbad Trumps Box Office

Well, this could fall under the "better late than never" heading or I can admit that by the time this gets out there, it will have completely changed. Ah well - you do what you can when you can as you can... or something. Can.

Superbad topped the box office last weekend. The raunchy teen comedy has received nothing but good reviews and is now a hit with both critics and fans. It actually broke a record, beating out 1995 hit, Mortal Kombat, for having taken in the most money for a movie released after August 15th. It knocked Rush Hour 3 out of top place. Stardust, based on the comic series by Neil Gaiman, landed at #6.

This has been Hollywood's best summer to date, with somewhere near $4 billion in sales this season.
