Blogger has become OpenID compliant, and so has The Weirding. This means that you no longer need a Blogger account to leave a comment with your name and information; you can still choose to leave comments anonymously, if you like, but you can associate your comment with your AOL/AIM Screen Name Service ID, LiveJournal account, or other OpenID-compliant identity. Conversely, you can get your own OpenID. I have not signed-up as an affiliate, so once you have your OpenID, you'll have to surf back over here manually - which makes now as good a time as any to add us to your bookmarks or subscribe to us via RSS (just click on the little, orange "chicklet" in the address bar)!
All of The Weirding blogs are OpenId-compliant, but the site itself does not require registration or signing-in. The Speakeasy still requires registration, but there's news on that front as well: the original Speakeasy may be coming back toward the Fall of 2008. Nothing definite yet, but things are looking that way right now; I'll know more in a few months. If that happens, the old accounts will likely be restored (I still have the data files, but the new host didn't like the package very much, so I used their "complimentary" chat program, instead).
