Shrek the Musical will play on Broadway.
Set to open December 14th, tryouts will be held in Seattle from August 14th to September 21st. Preview performances will start November 8th.
While the leads have yet to be cast, Princess Fiona will be portrayed by Sutton Foster. Lord Farquaad is to be played by Christopher Seiber, an original cast member of Monty Python's Spamalot; Kecia Lewis-Evans will play the Dragon.
The musical adaptation is based on the book and movie and will be directed by Jason Moore.
