Terminator Omnibus from Dark Horse

With the success of the new FOX series, The Sarah Connors Chronicles (which is actually pretty good, and I would cover more, if I could remember when it comes on and quit missing episodes!), Terminator is a hot property once again. That's kind of confusing though, since Terminator has never really cooled-off.

A true sci-fi classic, Terminator has stayed hot all of these years, spawning two sequels a decade after its original release, several comics series, and now the TV series. Along the way, there have been toys, "special edition" releases, and more - so you can't really say Terminator is hot again... but you can say its popularity has resurged yet again, I guess.

Of course, you could also say... WHAT!? Oh, sorry.

This is an official Dark Horse press release:

He’s back! The entire Dark Horse Terminator comics series is now available for the first time in the form of two giant collections. The Terminator Omnibus Volume I arrives in February with a second volume scheduled to follow in March. Fans can celebrate the legacy of one of the greatest sci-fi stories ever conceived by declaring 2008 the Year of The Terminator!

Tireless, fearless, merciless, unencumbered by human emotion, and dedicated to the complete eradication of mankind, they came from another time to ensure that the future would belong solely to the machines. They are Terminators—indestructible killing engines hiding inside shells of flesh and blood. But despite the frailty of human flesh, nothing is as immortal as the human spirit, and even the strongest metal will bend to its will to survive. . .

Dark Horse Comics has long been regarded as the heavyweight champion of adapting film blockbusters to graphic fiction. The Terminator is one of the finest examples of bringing top comics talents to the expansion of a premier action/adventure mythos. Featuring work by fan-favorite creators James Robinson, Matt Wagner, John Arcudi, Paul Gulacy, Ian Edginton, and more, The Terminator Omnibus Volume I collects the first four consecutive story arcs from The Terminator comic-book series and features over 300 full-color story pages.

The Terminator Omnibus Volume I includes Terminator Tempest, One Shot, Secondary Objectives, and The Enemy Within. It will be available in retail stores everywhere February 20, 2008 with an SRP of $24.95. The Terminator Omnibus Volume II will follow on March 26th.
