I just saw where Gemini artist, Jon Sommariva, linked to my review of the upcoming Image title, and I wanted to thank him for that (as well as send y'all over there to see more of his artwork)!
While we're on the subject, we have been linked to from many big-name sites, including CNN, InsideCable, MSNBC, and more - even got picked-up for a feature on AOL.com one day (the Steve Martin post) - and I want to thank everyone for that.
But I did notice something about linking the other day on some site or another: drop the HTTP:// before your link if you get the dreaded Periods of Ellipses (...).
A few months ago, I wrote a piece that got linked to from a lot of forums and message boards on a lot of sites. In following the links back to their sources, I noticed that many of them had the Periods of Ellipses after them and wouldn't go through. I got to poking around and asking, and it turns out that a lot of sites will truncate the link if it starts with the HTTP:// prefix - I'm guessing to cut-down on spam - but they work just fine without it. Why, I cannot say; I can only guess it's because a lot of spammers automate their spamming, and include the prefix to make sure it shows up as a link.
Anyway, just wanted to give you the heads-up because we don't want people thinking we spam other sites to get traffic or that you guys are spammers. But thanks for the links!
