Quick Rundown

Here's a quick Rundown of a bunch of entertainment news that just wasn't complete enough to warrant individual posts.

  • WotC is getting a new president. Current president, Loren Greenwood, is stepping down March 21st, to be replaced by Hasbro's Greg Leeds.
  • The CW's Spectacular Spider-Man debuted to strong ratings, helping Kids' WB score its highest ratings of the 2007-2008 season, so far.
  • Dynamite acquired the rights to Buck Rogers. The new sci-fi comic book hero's costume is being designed by none other than Alex Ross, who also provides the cover for the first issue.
  • Another Heavy Metal movie is on its way to screens, with David Fincher and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (and current Heavy Metal owner and editor) Kevin Eastman set to direct sequences.
  • The EC Archives is now a MySpace user - click the link to add them to your friends and find out all the news on the series.
  • Jeff Smith's Bone has been acquired by Warner Bros. Originally optioned by Nickelodeon some years ago, Smith was opposed to turning the series into a kid-friendly product. Whether the movie will be live-action or animated has not been decided.
  • Richard Gere has been excused for his Silpa Shetty kiss fiasco in India.
