Universal and Dark Horse have inked a deal, giving Universal first-crack at any Dark Horse properties for movie options, while also allowing Dark Horse to bring any properties they purchase for movies to the major production house.
The deal is for three years and includes both production and distribution through Universal. Universal is the movie company behind Dark Horse's Hellboy franchise.
This announcement comes hot on the heels of Universal's six-year deal with Hasbro, owner of Wizards of the Coast - makers of Magic the Gathering and D20 (formerly Dungeons & Dragons), as well as such properties as Monopoly, Clue, and more.
