American Idol frontrunner David Archuleta's dad, Jeff, is no longer allowed backstage.
While an unnamed source for the hit show indicated that the elder Archuleta's meddling had been the source of contention for some time now, he did not elaborate. However, Jeff Archuleta's insistence on changing some lyrics in his son's last performance was the final straw.
Jeff Archuleta insisted his son change a verse in Stand By Me to one from the song, Beautiful Girls. The change resulted in a cost to American Idol, as they had to secure additional rights.
Moron.
