The daughter of a late jazz musician is suing a gang of rappers, including Kanye West, Method Man, Redman, and Common, for sampling her father's music without permission.
Aside from damages of at least $1 million, she is seeking to stop the songs made from her father's tracks from being produced, performed, or distributed any longer. Spokespeople for the rappers were not available for comment to the press, but The Rundown managed to find someone to speak to us:
Rundown: How do you think the rappers will handle this situation?
Unidentified Source: Cap a bitch.
Rundown: With all the bad press rap and the performers have received, do you think this is the best approach to the matter?
Source: Shi-it. You know what I'm sayin'? You know what I'm sayin'.
Rundown: I believe I can feel you, dog. But What Would Jesus Do?
Source: Shit. Put on a toga... and cap a bitch.
Rundown: Thank you for speaking with us.
Source: Ain't no thang, baby, you feel me? Westsi-eed! Peace! I'm out this bitch, ho! Respect. Yo, you feel me? You feel me. Ha! Shit.
