Labor Day Weekend TV

Another one of those posts I have been meaning to make since yesterday and kept forgetting for one reason or another. No, for the same reason: I have too much to do and too much on my mind.

There is some pretty good fare over this weekend, if you have not realized it yet:

Encore has an all-weekend sci-fi movie marathon with some real gems. Unfortunately, I did not get this post out until late, so you have already missed Repo Man and Terminator and most likely a handful of others, but there are still two more days left.

Over to VH1 Classics, they have 80 Hours of the '80s, which has been off and on my TV set since I first saw it yesterday. They are doing them alphabetically and though I am not 100% as to which letter they are on right this moment, they were on "I" about an hour or so ago.

IFC has a new episode of Z Rock, which I caught for the first time last night and will likely review before all is said and done. It's about a trio of rock musicians who work as a regular band at night, but go by a different name during the day (The Z Brothers) as kids' musicians. It is not without its flaws, but it's definitely worth checking out at least a few times. IFC best be bringing Jackie Woodman and The Business back for third seasons, while we're on the subject!

So if you, like me, are not planning on drinking this weekend - or even if you are - there is plenty to do indoors!
