Cult favorite and personal bane, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, is being remade.
The original was a stageshow turned movie, introducing such talents as Susan Sarandon and Tim Curry. The movie was so awful, it inspired audience abuse and became a cult favorite. Viewers dress the part of their favorite character and participate in floor shows. Rocky Horror Picture Show holds the record for longest-running movie of all time.

Maybe you ought to re-phrase that slightly, "Cult classics shouldn't be remade". Case in point, "Escape From New York". Or maybe say, "Only assholes remake cult classics".
