Don LaFontaine, "The Voice of God," died at age 68 from an ongoing illness.
LaFontaine appeared in thousands of commercials, most notably movie trailers. In 2006, he parodied himself on a Geico insurance commercial. It is said that LaFontaine made the phrase, "In a world..." famous.
The illness from which the iconic and prolific voice-over artist died has not been specified.
