Cameron was an atheist growing up, but came to Christianity while still a child star on the popular sit-com, Growing Pains. His beliefs brought him into conflict with castmembers and producers over what he considered "immoral" storylines. He fell in love with his on-screen girlfriend/co-star and they married in 1991. They have six children.
