SAG - the Screen Actors' Guild - has postponed a vote on whether or not members should strike. Some are saying it has to do with George Clooney's position against it, while others note the economy; whatever the cause, there is growing opposition to the strike. The vote to decide was set to take place January 2nd; it has been postponed until at least the 13th or 14th.
Just to be sure, several big names have lent their support to the idea, but Clooney and others are against it. They believe it will be demoralizing and financially disastrous. An authorization would require 75% of the guild's vote.
