Michael Jackson's "This is It" tour will play to a sold-out O2 arena in London. All 50 dates have sold-out. Over 1/4-million people waited online and hundreds showed up to buy their tickets; more than 1 million tickets were sold. According to organizers, the tour has become the fastest-selling in history, selling 33 seats per minute. Some 300,000 registrants have yet to be issued codes.
Tickets are still to be had on auction sites, with prices ranging from over $300 to around $20,000US! Purchased directly, the price was about $150US per ticket. Ticketmaster called the demand "unprecedented."
