Monty Python on Regis & Kelly Live!

The remaining members of Monty Python (along with Graham Chapman's ashes) appeared on Live with Regis & Kelly this morning for two segments. While it was largely a clusterfuck - they were all talking over one another, naturally, and all were mic'ed at the same level - Regis and Kelly still managed to get some good Q&A going.

The troupe said they first worked together on The Frost Report. They also discussed Elvis and The Beatles as fans. Of course, they were there promoting their appearance in New York tonight, as well as the 6-part IFC documentary by Terry Jones' son (which will be airing "soon," according to the Pythons [October 18th, according to Regis]). Terry Gilliam was promoting his new movie, out this Christmas, and John Cleese has a one-man show... somewhere.

Regis also said this was the first time the entire troupe appeared together on TV, but that is erroneous; the troupe - along with Chapman's ashes - got together a few years back, with Eddie Izzard sitting-in (for a moment).

Tuesday, Garry Shandling will be there. (I had to throw that in there, because he's just too funny and one of my favorites!)
