Peter Jackson Publicly Considering Big-Budget Mini-Series About Dragons

Peter Jackson bought the rights to Naomi Novik's fantasy series, Temeraire, in 2006 and planned to parlay them into a movie franchise, but the platinum-grade director has changed his tune, saying he thinks the concept would work better as a TV mini-series. He seems to be angling for a SyFy-type mini- along the lines of the recent, woeful O.Z. and whatever that new one is they're doing.

Sorry guys, but I've just given-up on certain things. ANYwho... Temeraire is, according to the author(-ess), a re-imagining of the Napoleonic Wars from the backs of dragons.

Sam Raimi has found some moderate success with his series, Legend of the Seeker, also based on a series of fantasy novels by Terry Goodkind. Legend of the Seeker is actually a really, really good show you can probably find on one of your local stations and Hulu.
