Though director, Peter Jackson, has been known to own the rights to Philip Reeves' post-Apocalyptic sci-fi series, Mortal Engines, for some time now, it has recently come to light that work is underway on the filming of the movies based on the first four books. While a spokesperson for the Jackson camp did not deny this, he did refuse comment, saying only Jackson should be the one to discuss the Mortal Engines project.
