Work is Fun Once Again

Well, I finally had my Chrimmas dinner - and boy, was it ever worth the wait! We didn't do deviled eggs (we ran out of eggs) and Mom said she'd make the green bean casserole with leftovers tomorrow, but everything else went off without a hitch. Well, we forgot to set-out the mac n cheese, but that just means I have an entire bucket o' mac n cheese for the rest of the week.

I really needed this. I knew I was kinda burned-out and all, but with everything medical that's been going on lately, it was hard to separate the two. Now I realize just how much I needed a break - one including a huge feast and absolute downtime, unfettered by guilt or worry.

Even better, this is the last weekend on dial-up! Yes, the technicians arrive sometime Monday morning to install that new "broad's band" I've been hearing so much about lately. What can I say? I'm a trendsetter. God willing, if everything goes well, I'll be watching YouTube and Hulu and Netflix and banging really hot chi... listening to music. You know, rejoining the fucking human race.
