While details are sketchy, Conaway is in the hospital, undergoing surgery after falling - either down a flight of stairs in his home or in his kitchen. Some sources say he broke his neck and suffered a brain hemorrhage, but E! News has only confirmed that the actor broke his hip. One story, as mentioned, has it that Conaway fell down a flight of stairs; another has it that the Grease star fell twice and complications from the first fall, some four months prior, lead to this recent spill. Lizzy told the news outlet, "Jeff thinks these are his final days."
It was also reported that Dr. Drew was working with Conaway once again.

Dr. Drew tweeted on behalf of Conaway's family, thanking all of us for the support.
It has now been confirmed that Conaway suffered a brain hemorrhage and fractured his neck, though the nature of his fall - how, where, and when it happened - is still unclear.
Something I did not know: John Travolta came to his fellow T-Bird's aid and had him "audited." Well, I'm not 100% on the "auditing" bit, but I'm pretty sure that's what they call it; specifically, Conaway consulted the Church of Scientology by way of Travolta, concerning his substance abuse problem.
Conaway's girlfriend gave E! an "exclusive" interview in which she "pleads" for help on Conaway's behalf. She says the fall was drug-related and that the former Taxi star has been contemplating suicide and his own funeral (a Viking funeral, no less!) aloud lately, which "sends chills up my spine," she says.
She told E! that Travolta sent Conaway flowers this week and that Dr. Drew is back in the mix, but she isn't sure if it is enough.
This is the problem, and I said this back when we were watching Rehab: Jeff Conaway doesn't want to get sober! And Vikki Lizzy?.. I really can't tell if she cares as much as she claims to or if she's added "fame" to her ever-growing list of addictions.
Whatever the situation otherwise, these two are drama QUEENS. Jeff Conaway has been fueling this self-fulfilling prophecy from Jumpstreet: he wants to OD and/or die so he can justify his being an asshole. And I have a good mind Lizzy is looking to turn this whole thing into a reality show.
Lest ye forget, O faithful Readers, we here to The Rundown were all about Conaway and his recovery back when we were actively watching Rehab, however he - like Seth Binzer, took it a bit too far one too many times.
I am far from an advocate of "tough love" or anything like that and thank God Dr. Drew Pinski has the patience of a saint, but really... being a viewer without any med training, I'm done. It's just too hard to watch someone throw their life away, and I've done it a few times already.
