Junior Roddenberry Gets Sci-Fi TV Deal

"My father always felt that Questor was the one that got away. He believed that the show had the potential to be bigger than Star Trek," Rod Roddenberry said. Now, we will find out, as Gene Roddenberry's son just struck a deal with Imagine Television to develop The Questor Tapes into a series pilot.

The Questor Tapes is about an android whose incomplete memory tapes compel him to search for his creator and purpose. Gene Roddenberry developed the idea for TV back in 1974. While it never made it into a series, it was made into a made-for-TV movie of the week.
