Warner Bros. Props-Up Blockbuster

Despite having closed some 1000 stores across the country and publicly considering bankruptcy since 2008-2009, Warner Brothers - which recently levied a 28-day new release embargo on Netflix customers - has now signed a deal with Blockbuster, guaranteeing the dying giant same-day new releases. This means Blockbuster will be the only major movie rental outlet to carry Warner Bros. new releases the day they street.

Like almost everyone else in the free world, I am a Netflix subscriber. I last had a Blockbuster account in 1994 or so. I'm not 100% certain, but there might be a Blockbuster about 30-40 miles from here.
