IDW has just released the cover art for True Blood #1, the comic book adaptation of the HBO TV show, which is an adaptation of the Charlaine Harris series. IDW's series is written by TV series creator, Alan Ball, though may be scripted by someone else. The story takes place at Merlotte's, where the major characters are said to be trapped by a ghost which forces them to reveal their deepest secret to escape.The six-issue series costs $4.99 per issue and streets in late July. True Blood returns to HBO this summer. No one is sure if the True Blood comic book and TV series will intertwine.
