Power of the Dark Crystal

The team behind the original cult puppet classic, The Dark Crystal, say a sequel is on the way, from the directors of Daybreakers. The sequel, entitled Power of the Dark Crystal, will be in 3D and will be set "hundreds of years after... the first movie" when the world has once again fallen into darkness."

Brian Froud returns as conceptual artist, and the creative team is hopeful about bringing puppetry into the 21^st-Century with new methods, such as motion capture CGI, used in conjunction with "traditional" methods of puppetry and animatronics. In fact, CGI is already underway for Power of the Dark Crystal.
