Larry King Ending Talk Show After 25 Years

Larry King says, "It's time to hang-up my nightly suspenders." After 25 years, Larry King is ending his CNN talk show. Though critics often accused him of being ill-prepared and, more recently, disconnected from the mainstream, the other side of the talk show host's desk remained a coveted spot. But King's ratings have continued to slip over the years. However, King says he felt no pressure from CNN to vacate those famous suspenders, and he will continue to do specials for the network.

The 76-year old radio veteran said, if it were up to him, Ryan Seacrest would replace him, but the rumor-mill has suggested Piers Morgan and Katie Couric. A CNN spokesperson said there wouldn't necessarily be a replacement host or interview show.
