FX has ordered a sci-fi/comedy pilot from Reno 911!'s Thomas Lennon and Ben Garant entitled Alabama, which follows the crew of the starship USS Alabama across the galaxies on a seven-year mission for interplanetary peace. Like Reno 911!, Alabama features a blend of scripted and improvised scenes and has been described by Reuters as "an unofficial Star Trek parody."
