A spokesperson for Steven Tyler says the Aerosmith frontman will take a seat on American Idol's panel of judges. American Idol has not officially announced Tyler's addition to the show, and the source is not authorized to publicly comment further, but said there is "no reason to refute" it. Neither FOX nor producers for the show would comment.
At this time, Randy Jackson is the only returning, original judge, as DioGuardi, Cowell, and DeGeneres are all departing, and Paula Abdul quit American Idol some time back.
