Kevin McCarthy, star of the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers, died Saturday at 96. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Death of a Salesman in 1951 and continued to work extensively for many years. McCarthy cameoed in the 1978 remake. A 2007 remake starred Nicole Kidman (but no McCarthy).
Invasion of the Body Snatchers was named one of AFI's 100 Best All-Time Sci-Fi Movies.
