David Cronenberg's Scanners is headed to your TV screens courtesy of Dimension Films. The series follows a group of people with "telepathic and telekinetic powers," though that is the most information I have at this point. Alexandre Aja is set to executive produce and direct the pilot, but Dimension is looking for a showrunner.
Having acquired the rights to the franchise some years back, the studio originally planned a Scanners remake, but turned its eye to the small screen following the success of The Walking Dead.
