ChiLL Online (2012)

Sorry for leaving you high and dry yesterday, but there still isn't a lot of PR to push and last night was the new session for our Chill Online game, so I had to spend the afternoon preparing for that.

I won't bore you with all of the details, but we managed to map-out the cityscape (Vincent) by major landmarks - just well enough so that one of our players could get a grasp of where things are - and the players managed to all but completely figure out the case. That's good for an opener, as this is the first case they've faced. My greatest fear was that they would see right through the rather straightforward case and solve it the first time through, but it's going into its third session, which is actually pretty cool. I expected it would take them at least two sessions to get through it if they didn't get lucky, so we're right on schedule.

Again, we're using Google Hangouts and couldn't be happier with the results so far. Every few weeks, we play, and I'll have to be away on that day to prepare. I usually spend most of the entire gaming day getting my notes together and communicating with players.

And it's all worth it. I've had a great time playing every time we've played, and hope that it continues for many more months to come (hopefully years!). Finally, the technology has caught-up to the point that we can do what I always wanted to do online: Play tabletop RPG with friends no matter where they are.
