Though there were a lot of doubters, Sony's reboot of the Amazing Spider-Man franchise took in a hefty $140 million in just six days. It began with a $65 million weekend and beat both of the most recent comic book superhero movie reboots, X-Men: First Class and Batman Begins. Seth McFarlane's Ted fell 40% to land in the #2 position.
