New details are emerging, with police confirming that a rolled-up $20 bill was found on the scene, but that it was clear of drug residue.
Further, it appears that the Manhattan apartment in which the late actor's body was found was not owned by Mary-Kate Olsen. Apparently, the masseuse who found his body knew the two were close and used Ledger's cellphone to call the actress in California. It was Olsen who contacted the private security that appeared on the scene at the same time as paramedics. Apparently, the masseuse contacted 911 only after ascertaining the actor was not breathing.
Ledger's body was moved from the bed to the floor and when resuscitation efforts failed, he was pronounced dead at 3:36 PM, EST.
Sources say no fewer than six prescription medications were found on the scene, three of which were prescribed in Europe. The medications were for anxiety and insomnia.
Obviously, much more coverage has continued throughout the day, even though I complained that there hadn't been much new information after the original announcement yesterday.
