Adult Swim Scores

Guest Blogger: Mayren

[adult swim]'s ratings got a boost among young adults. Nielsen ratings show a boost last week for all it's regular demographics. That demo is focused on adults in general 18-34 and men 18-34.

Apparently [adult swim] has such a following that it ranks 16th in the Top 50 programs watched. Not too shabby for basic cable programming that is competing with regular networks. For more detail check out my source: thefutoncritic

Could the boost be due to the ATHF phenomenon Manodogs fills us in on?!? I may have to recant my cruel initial assessment of this seemingly interesting animation. Maybe.

I think there is a general lack of cool new American TV animation. I'm a huge fan of the Cartoon Network and I'm a geeky chick but hey, gimme a break. I've been hearing some buzz on the new Class of 3000 that has started to appear on Cartoon Network. I know the demo is for lil guys up to age 12 but buzz is still Buzz in this town [L.A.].

Has anyone caught this yet? If so, please comment a little review for us!

It's apparently Andre "3000" Benjamin's new series who has a character named "Lil D" very loosely based on his childhood and his musical growth. The buzz claims racial diversity with musical talent. For Anyone who needs to know, Andre 3000 is apart of one of my fave groups = Outkast.

Had you never really watched ATHF until recently? It really is LOL hilarious, usually. And the ones they're showing in the 11:00 timeslot weekdays are the best ones from the earlier seasons. Who IS the Drizzle? -- one of the best of them all -- should be coming up tonight or tomorrow... soon, at any rate.

They've really been promoting that Class of 3000 lately, but it doesn't look too impressive to me. Lots of buzz in La-La Land, huh? We have a regular reader from Atlanta (where CN headquarters are located) I could ask about the buzz there, but I haven't seen her in a while.

I hope it's good just for the sake of having something else to watch, but [AS] really needs to get their collective head of their ass and start doing some decent work again. I'm starting to flip through the Nick@Nite marathons more and more these days...
