Just a quick update from the RPG-ish front, gang.
I'm not specifically into MMORPGs but I'm not against them either, per se. In that light, I would like to share that Sony Online Ent. and Sigil Games online launched an open beta for Vanguard: Saga of Heroes.
Beta was opened Jan 5th, mostly for US Residents (right now). If you're interested in participating in the game's pre-order campaign, you could be granted access to the open beta. I'm not sure about pre-order. This morning, my trip there showed that they had a few bugs to fix but keep trying if you want in. You do need to be a file Planet subscriber for the first few weeks.
The game is something akin to WoW or Everquest and boasts new skills and personalization such as player-crafted boats, flying mounts, and customizable player housing.
