More Heroes Interview

Quite a bit happened this weekend. If you missed the cast of Heroes on Larry King Live Friday, you didn't really miss much. King asked them all the same questions, even though he managed to get into the individual actors' personal lives and so on here and there.

As it turns out, the actor who plays Hiro has a 180 IQ! While King didn't mention it, you have also seen him on Scrubs and in a small role as a cashier on The Sarah Silverman Program. The actor who plays Peter is married to the blonde Dixie Chick and they have one child. Pretty much everyone on the panel noted the script as the reason they wanted to be involved in the show. Strikingly, they discussed how the depth of character(s) was a drawing point, and I found that odd because there's been so little character development for most of them. Horn-Rimmed Glasses (HRG) noted that his character was only supposed to be in the pilot, but wound up a recurring character.

Other than that, it was a pretty ho-hum interview, but it was fun to watch specifically because the actors were so excited to be there and see one another. You can really tell they all get along well and enjoy what they are doing.

I'll go on record as saying that, while Heroes may have been the highest-rated new show this season, if the second season doesn't pick up the pace and stay focused, I have a feeling it will fall sharply in the ratings. By this point, I think a lot of people are only watching to see if anything will happen! And while the shocking cliffhanger endings are still in place, that's going to wear thin if the story doesn't pick up.
